The members of First Congregational Church of Houston number around 400, many of whom come from other religious traditions.
We are a diverse community.
We are individuals, couples, and families with and without children. We are straight and we are LGTBQIA+.
We are seniors with life experience to share. We are young adults seeking spiritual meaning. We are all members of FCC because we value diversity and acceptance in a supportive faith community.
We are a seeker’s church. As indicated by our Mission Statement, we seek to follow Jesus’s teachings. We consider and discuss both the Bible and the thoughts of biblical scholars. We also seek understanding of other sacred traditions.
We are a caring church
We care for each other and the community at large. The church and our endowment give generously to organizations that promote peace and justice. As individuals, we support financially and volunteer in over two dozen service organizations throughout Houston.
We are an accepting and welcoming church
Join us for worship this Sunday and stick around for “Coffee, Tea and Conversation”. You will enjoy meeting our members.
